A natural optimist, Giff comes from Southern roots. Born in New Orleans, LA, and raised in Vicksburg, MS, his cultural backbone is akin to gumbo mixed with delta blues and second line procession into a church. Son of a national Gospel recording artist Geneva Jones (iTunes) his moral compass is anchored in the church. He is a military veteran (Helicopter Pilot), Certified Project Management Professional and CEO and owner of Cakeismyfriend Media Marketing & Entertainment . He is an active member of the music community in Washington, DC area (DC,MD,VA). As Vice President and Board Secretary, of the Capitol Groove Collective, he works to promote musical artistry nationally and internationally, by Entertaining, Educating and Empowering artists and patrons.

MusicGiff, describes his sound as (Rock&Soul) a product of his upbringing. One that includes, gospel, blues, soul, r&b and rock influences from New Orleans and Mississippi. His smooth melodic tones emphasize messages of optimism and love.
A career professional, he has dedicated himself in this phase of his life to, "Take the cake", which is a commitment to living life to its fullest, beyond the 9-5. For him, it is creating music and sharing that joy with listeners.

Veteran
A U.S. Army Veteran, Giff completed 13 years of Honorable service. Initially enlisting in the National Guard, as an Engineer, to put himself through college. He attended The University of Southern Mississippi, BA Broadcasting, where he was part of the Golden Eagles Conference USA Championship football team. He later joined the R.O.T.C. Golden Eagle Battalion, graduating with a Minor of Military Science and a Commission to U.S. Army Aviation. He has piloted multiple helicopters to include AH-64D Apache Longbow and UH-60 Black hawk (Qualified).
